TPM
Internal forum (*)

The internal forum enables TPM internal assignees to communicate with terminology coordinators about their terminology tasks.

In this page, you will find out how to:

  • Create a new thread
  • Search forum threads
  • Reply to a thread

Read more on user groups and access rights.

create a new THREAD

Open the ‘Internal forum’ tab in your project. Click on the ‘Create a new thread’ button:

  • Related entry: indicate which entry or entries your thread is about (if any)
  • Related language: select which language(s) your thread is about (if any)
  • Title: provide a title for your thread
  • Text: describe your issue, comment or question

Click on the ‘Create’ button to save your thread.

The project coordinators will reply to your thread. The other internal assignees can see your forum discussion too and can contribute to it as well.
Coordinators can also manage the status of the thread (new, ongoing or closed).

You will get notified when there are new threads addressed to you or your division (if you have subscribed for division notifications) or when there are replies to your threads. Click on the bell icon (on the right-hand side of the IATE top menu) to display the list of notifications. Click on a notification to open the specific discussion or click on ‘View all notifications’ to access the full list. Read more about notifications.
A shortcut (‘Open a forum discussion’) is available in the ‘Assignments’ column under ‘My assigned entries’ to create a new discussion with the entry ID and target language pre-filled.
Search forum threads

Type a keyword in the search bar and click on the ‘Search’ icon.

If you need to further refine your search, click on ‘Open expanded search’. The following additional search criteria are available: user, related entry, related language, and status.

The search will only retrieve messages in the threads that match your search criteria. Click on the thread title to open the full discussion.
REPLY TO a thread

Click on the discussion title to display the full content of the discussion. At the bottom of the discussion, there is a free text field where you can type in your input. Then, click on ‘Reply’ to publish it. A notification will be sent to the relevant users. Read more about notifications.

Messages in a thread can be modified by their author at any time. Authors can also delete their replies or their top thread if it does not contain replies yet. Coordinators can delete full threads and messages from other authors if necessary.
(*) User GROUPs and access rights

The internal forum is only accessible to the project coordinators and internal project assignees.
