‘My assigned entries’ table contains all IATE entries that have been assigned to you and/or to your division. The terminology work is done directly in the IATE entries themselves. Refer to the instructions of the project coordinator to know what is expected from you.
In this page, you will find out how to:
- Customise your table
- Filter tasks
- Change task status
- Reassign and unassign tasks
- Work on your tasks
- Open a forum discussion
- Export your table

Customise your table
The entries are listed in the table with a range of criteria or metadata displayed in columns. To configure your table, click on the ‘Choose and sort columns’ icon. On the left, there is a list of all the available columns. To display a column in your table, drag and drop it into the right-hand box.
You can also configure your table settings in the user preferences. Then, click on ‘Apply my user preferences’ on top of the table. Read more on user preferences. |

Filter tasks by status, assignee, or type
By default, no filters are applied and all tasks are displayed in the table. If needed, you can filter your tasks by:
- status: unselect the status(es) that you wish to hide. Depending on the project, the task statuses can be new, ongoing, done or skipped.
- assignee: unselect ‘Not assigned to me’ if you want to only display your personal tasks or unselect ‘Assigned to me’ to only view your division assignments.
- assignment type: in the drop-down list, select the type you wish to display: for action, for completion, for feedback, for revision or for validation. Set the filter to ‘Not specified’ to display all types.
If no items match your search, click on the ‘Reset filters’ button to view all your tasks. |
Change task status
To help you track your progress, you can update your task status individually or in bulk:
- Click on the status drop-down list available for each task (in the ‘Assignments’ column) and select the new value.
- Select the tasks via the tick box and choose your status value in the main drop-down list (above the table). Click on ‘Change status in bulk’.
As soon as a status gets updated, the related icon and the target language colour will change too: new task: – ongoing task: – done task: – skipped task: |
Reassign or unassign tasks
If a task was assigned to you personally, you cannot unassign it or reassign it to someone else. On the other hand, if a task was assigned to your division, you have these possibilities.
Within the task itself (in the ‘Assignments’ column):
- Reassign opens a window to set the assignee. Type in a name and click on the ‘Search’ icon. Then, click on the ‘Add’ icon to select the assignee.
- Reassign to me automatically sets you as assignee for the task.
- Unassign removes the user the task was assigned to.
Select tasks individually or use the tick box in the ‘Assignments’ column header to select all the tasks at once. Then you can reassign (to me) or unassign the selected tasks in bulk via the dedicated buttons above the table. |
work on your tasks
Click on the entry ID or on the target language to get to the full entry view as the terminology work should be performed directly in IATE.
To update the entry, please refer to the instructions provided by the project coordinator(s).
In the full entry view, click on the ‘TPM project assignment’ label (in the top-right of the LL) to get back to the ‘My assigned entries’ table. |
Use the ‘Assignments’ and the ‘Assignment notes’ columns to keep track of your progress (see section above). |
open a forum discussion
For each task, a shortcut enables you to ‘Open a forum discussion’ with the entry ID and target language pre-filled. If a discussion thread is already open, this icon will be displayed in the last column on the right. Click on it to access the forum. Read more about the internal forum.
export your table
Click on the ‘Export table’ button (above the table on the right) to launch an export of the assignments as displayed on the screen (keeping all customisations and filtering applied to your table).
