Notifications (*)

A notifications ☍ engine has been developed in IATE. Currently, it only sends out notifications related to the Terminology Projects Module to relevant users regarding:

  • new assignments (individual or division);
  • modified assignments (individual or division), with added or removed entries;
  • reassignments;
  • a new top thread or reply in internal and external forum;
  • a modified top thread or reply in internal and external forum;
  • a deleted top thread or reply in internal and external forum;
  • completion of all tasks in a project assignment.

In upcoming releases, notifications will cover other modules and features as well.

On this page, you will find information on how to:

  • Define your notification settings
  • Consult notifications

Read more about user groups and access rights.

NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

If you are an internal user, you can configure notifications by clicking on your username in the top right corner and then on ‘Notifications’. Under ‘Notification settings’, you will be able to enable or disable individual and division notifications for assignments and the forum. By default, only individual notifications are enabled.

If you are an external collaborator, you will not have access to ‘Notification settings’, since you only have the rights to receive individual notifications and they will always be enabled.

CONSULT YOUR NOTIFICATIONS

The notification icon is displayed on the right-hand side of the IATE header, next to the interface language button. It appears only if the user has received notifications (read or unread). If new notifications are available, an orange blinking dot will be displayed next to it. You can click ‘Mark all as read’ to mark all notifications without opening them one by one.

Click on the bell to display the 5 latest notifications: unread messages are displayed first, with the most recent on top. Each notification links to the particular TPM project and specific new thread or reply.

The full list of notifications can be found on your user dashboard: click on your username and open the ‘Notifications’ tab. Unread notifications are kept for 60 days and read notifications are kept for 2 weeks before being deleted.

Under the ‘My notifications’ tab, you can filter notifications by language and by type: assignments, internal forum, external forum, or completion.
