The Download IATE ☍ option enables logged-in users to download IATE content, according to certain available settings and filters. The form to create a download request contains the following options:

Export Format
You can choose between two output formats:
- TBX (TermBase eXchange 3, ISO 30042:2019)
- CSV (comma-separated values)
LANGUAGE selector
You need to select the language(s) in which you want to export the data. The language selector includes all the EU languages (ISO codes).
EXPort filters
To create your download request, you can use the following filtering criteria:
- Collections: select the collection(s) to export by launching a search by collection and clicking on ‘Add to selection’ next to the collection you wish to export. Read more about collections.
- Domains: select the domain(s) to refine the data you wish to export. Read more about domains.
- Term type: select which term type(s) to include in the export. Read more about term types.
- Reliability: select the reliability of the terms to be exported. Read more about reliability.
- Evaluation: select the evaluation of the terms to be exported. Read more about evaluation.
Once you have chosen the settings for your export request, click on ‘Create download request’. |
Your download requests
If you have already launched a request, click on the ‘Refresh’ button to see if your data is already available.
Click on ‘Expand’ to view your request details, including the filtering criteria. Click on ‘Download’ to retrieve your export.
The datasets generated are available to download for 7 days. |
The exported data will contain the following metadata: entry ID, domains, language codes, terms, term type, reliability, evaluation, primarity, lifecycle, origins, institution owning the terms, and date of last modification to the term level. |
