Entry structure for editors

As an editor, you can create, modify, and delete entries in IATE. Each entry is structured into three levels:

  • LIL: Language-Independent Level
  • LL: Language Level
  • TL: Term Level

At each level, you can perform specific actions, which will be explained in the following sections.

To ensure the consistency and accuracy of IATE data, it is essential that you consult the IATE data guidelines ☍, which are available in the ‘Documentation’ ☍ tab under the ‘Info‘ menu. These guidelines clarify how the Interinstitutional Data Principles are applied within IATE.
