Introduction to the IATE Online Help

This online help sets out the purpose and the principles of IATE and can be used as a step-by-step guide to using the tool. Parts of the information are relevant only to users with specific rights or access. This content is marked by an asterisk (*) and, where relevant, the differences between levels of access are summarised in a dedicated ‘access rights’ table at the end of the page.

You can see information about a screen, a feature or an option by clicking on the dedicated ‘Book’ icon directly in IATE. A side panel with short explanations and a link to the full IATE Online Help will appear on the right side of your screen. In this panel you can also search the entire IATE Online Help. Alternatively, you can access the IATE Online Help directly via its URL to search or browse all content and pages.

The online help contains many internal links redirecting to relating pages or sections. It also contains external links, pointing to the IATE relevant pages. These external links are indicated by a link icon ā˜.

The content of this online help is regularly revised to reflect new developments in IATE.
