The Asynchronous requests ☍ module in IATE displays all your submitted requests and their status. You can access the Asynchronous requests tab from the ‘Management’ menu.
You can choose the following display options:
- My requests
- Automatic requests (technical requests triggered by the system when performing certain operations, e.g. for data consistency)
- All requests
or manually choose the request types you want to be displayed via the ‘Choose’ tab.
The list of results shows:
- the type of request (export, import, batch deletion, batch search, etc.),
- the name of the request,
- the date when the request was submitted,
- its status.
request status
The status of your requests can be:
- In progress: Wait a while and use the ‘Refresh’ button or F5 if needed.
- Submitted and Delayed: The request will be handled overnight and you can retrieve the results the next morning.
- Finished
- Failed: Click on the icon next to the status to see what went wrong.
You can see the details of your request by clicking on the ‘Expand’ button. These details vary depending on the type of your request.
For exports, you can see your query, the fields you have selected for export, and the output format. If you did your initial query in the Advanced Search module, you can relaunch your query from here or copy the textual query and paste it into the Advanced Search. You can download and save the export file by clicking on the ‘Download’ button. How you then open the file depends on your browser.
